MusicPatrol is an independent, not for profit initiative to help bring
violation of music rights such as composer and performance rights, but
also synchronization rights, to the attention of the collection societies
and follow up to ensure proper legal action.
While many players in this industry are taking a no-nonsense approach
prosecuting rights violations of large known artists, many less known
artists are unfortunately not very high on their priority list, and in
light of the costs of legal process they often are not receiving the
attention that the Madonnas and Beatles of the world receive. MusicPatrol
gives any interested party a platform to report a claim with whatever
evidence they provide, and then ask independent members to investigate and
secure evidence in form of recordings etc. for future prosecution through
the legal departments of composer societies and other stakeholders.
